Matt Choplin

I am a financial professional with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate every stage of their financial journey. After earning both my B.S. (2008) and M.S. (2009) in Accounting from North Carolina State University, I began my career with Ernst & Young, providing assurance services in the Raleigh and Charlotte offices. In 2013, I transitioned to Private Wealth Management of NC, where I focused on investment management and financial planning. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of guiding clients through complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

In 2025, I founded Innovest Strategies with a vision to provide financial services in a different, more client-centered way. My goal is to be a trusted resource—whether you’re just starting out, building wealth, or planning for retirement. Holding my CPA license, Series 65 license, and Real Estate license allows me to offer a deeper level of analysis and comprehensive advice tailored to each client’s unique situation. Ensuring that clients not only achieve their goals but also enjoy the process is always my top priority.

Beyond my professional work, I’ve been fortunate to serve in various leadership roles. I was a Board Member for the Capital City Clauses and chaired the Jingle Ball in 2017. I’m a graduate of Leadership Raleigh 40 and served on the Young Executive Board at City Club Raleigh. Currently, I serve on the Board at Henderson Country Club.

Outside of work, you can usually find me on the golf course, running, fly fishing, or spending time with my dog, Gunther.
